Question: Discuss About The Business Simulation And Experiential Learn? Answer: Introduction The Pitstop organization has been planning to increase its potential by increasing the number of service stations and stores. The Pitstop organization has a flagship store in Brunswick, Victoria with an attached office space for accommodating the head office. The last eight months of the operations was spent on raising sufficient amount of money for expanding the chain of stores and expansion of the service station to a total of 30. The retention of the staffs had made the total workforce to be around 70 employees and they have varied linguistic background. The new payroll system had been required for overcoming the shortage of the old payroll system at the four stores. The new payroll system must be implied for processing the payment of the employees successfully. The assignment had been made for deploying the effective and integrated management operations with the help of various policies for employee safety, claims substation, and control measures. Design of the Payroll system The design of the payroll system for Pitstop is provided in the diagram below, The major component of the payroll design for Pitstop is shown in the block diagram above and it consists of two dividing the whole infrastructure into two sections, one for the store/service station where the main payroll system would be employed and another for headquarter that involves the rechecking of the payment amount. Each of the substations would be formed with the alignment of a payroll register for inputting the information regarding the employees and their pay hours. Planning Document The planning document would outline the steps description for the design development of the payroll system for Pitstop. The planning document would show the necessary steps would require for the review, design, development, and implementation of the payroll system for the operations (Laudon Laudon, 2016). The steps that would be required for carrying out for forming the payroll system are, Legal Environment Survey: According to Ashwin, Abbas and McLean (2015), the legal environment required for the installation of the payroll system includes the inclusion of the appropriate number of components and infrastructure required for the payroll system implementation. Policy and Procedure alignment: The various policies related to employee payroll information, substantiation of claims, and establishing control measures must be aligned for forming the successful implementation of the payroll system (Thite Sandhu, 2014). The policies and procedures developed would help in forming the list for the management of the effective activities. Communication/Consultation: The management of the operations had been assisted by the implication of the communication in the organization (Ongolo-Zogo et al., 2015). The basic importance of using communication lies in the fact that the required information would be transferred successfully to the required person. Project Plan Execution: The project plan execution is another major factor that would help in forming the major achievement of the development of the payroll system (Bornmann, Haunschild Marx, 2016). The payroll system development plan would be executed with the alignment of the successful development of the system. Policy and Procedure document for employee information safety Name of the Document Policy and Procedure document for employee information safety Name of the Project Payroll System Development for Pitstop Date of Documentation 20th February, 2018 Documented by Jason Leigh, Documenter Name of the Policy Non-utilization of the customers data without prior consent Description of the policy The use of payroll system would involve the deployment of the effective protective measures for securing the information and data from external misuse. Benefit of the policy The consent use of the information is the primary policy that would be followed by Pitstop for assuring that the integration of the operations can be implied successfully. Policy and Procedure document for substantiation of claims Name of the Document Policy and Procedure document for substantiation of claims Name of the Project Payroll System Development for Pitstop Date of Documentation 20th February, 2018 Documented by Jason Leigh, Documenter Name of the Policy Prevention of the Substantiation Payroll System Claims Description of the policy The deployment of the policy and procedure for substantiation of claims would result in reassuring that the licence of the payroll system would be solely under the proprietorship of the company. Benefit of the policy The deployment of the policy would help in limiting the exhaustion of the resources by stopping their misuse. Reflection on process of designing payroll system I had to consider the role of the effective and integrated technology development for the alignment of the technology and designing principles for the development of the payroll system. The payroll system had to be developed considering the traditional waterfall structure for project plan development. First, I used the initiation phase for analysing the process overview and it can be termed as pre-development phase too. The pre-development phase would involve the various documentation process and analysis of the information that would be required for being modified and used. The employer registration number would have to be requested for being used for the implementation of the payroll system. Then I did some paperwork for ensuring that all required policies and procedures would be retained. The various policies related to employee payroll information, substantiation of claims, and establishing control measures must be aligned for forming the successful implementation of the payroll system. The appropriate payroll system should be used with alignment of the business functions. The design phase would be used for the formation of the effective design of the payroll system. I even used simulation for testing the design developed. The implication of the successive design components resulted in forming the final output of the payroll system. The alignment of the operations had tended to form the management of the execution phase of the payroll system development process. The project ended with the final review of the payroll system and it would align with the operations of the project. References Ashwin, P., Abbas, A., McLean, M. (2015). How to play Texas Holdem Poker Essays - Stud Poker, Draw Poker
James Dennie EngWr 51 Holly Davatz How to play Texas Holdem Poker. So you're new to Texas Holdem Poker? Not a problem. Texas Holdem poker is by far the best game for a beginner to learn. Other poker games like Omaha or 7 Card Stud need a higher understanding of calculating odds and card counting. Texas Holdem can be learned in a few minutes and you can be playing fairly well with a few hours of practice. Online poker rooms offer a wide variety of play money tables where beginners may practice for free until they are ready to move up to the fun at real money tables. I recommend playing online to start because online poker rooms handle many tedious details, like dealing, shuffling, and determining who has the best hand. However, in order to learn the game there is a few steps to you need to know. Depending on the limit and betting structure, players will place out blinds and antes so there is an initial amount to get things started, this is called posting. The dealer shuffles up a standard deck of fifty two cards. Each player is dealt two private cards face down. These are called your hole cards or pocket cards. Then there is a round of betting starting with the player to the left of the blinds, this is the pre-flop betting round. Like most games of poker, players can call, raise, or fold. After the betting round ends, the dealer discards the top card of the deck, this is called a burn card. This is done to prevent cheating. The dealer then flips the next three cards face up on the table, this is called the flop. These are communal cards that anyone can use in combination with their two pocket cards to form a poker hand. The player to the left of the dealer starts another betting round. After the betting concludes, the dealer burns again then flips another communal card onto the table, this is called the turn. The player to the left of the dealer begins another round of betting. In many types of games, this is where the bet size doubles. Again, the dealer burns a card and places a final card face up on the table, this is called the river. Players can now use any of the five cards on the table or the two cards in their pocket to form a five card poker hand. There is one final round of betting starting with the player to the left of the dealer. After that, we have the showdown. All of the players who haven't folded reveal their hands. This begins with the player to the left of the last player to call. Players use a combination of their pocket cards and the community cards to form a five card poker hand. The player who shows the best hand wins! Now in Poker there is certain etiquette to follow with the order of betting, raising, and folding its always to the left of the dealer and if you go out of turn they will call you on that this is where Poker Etiquette comes in. In social situations, using proper etiquette gives you self-confidence, allows you to concentrate on more important matters, and at times, allows you to dominate a situation against someone who does not use proper etiquette. Poker etiquette not only makes for a better game, but is an acquired skill that can possibly increase a player's odds of success. Poker etiquette are not rules, but manners that relate to the orderly maintenance of the game and civility among those who participate in the game. In Conclusion, once you understand the game's basic structure, you can play Texas Holdem and even some of its variants. Texas Holdem is an easy game to learn, just difficult to master. The "mastering" part is the costly part, requiring study and practice. You can practice all you want for free in online poker rooms.

Business Contract and Goods Essay
Business Contract and Goods Essay Business: Contract and Goods Essay P1 13.1 Dear Ann, The Sale of Goods Act 1979 provides four main protections for buyers: 1. The seller must have the right to sell the goods 2. Goods sold by description must correspond to the description 3. Goods must be of satisfactory quality 4. Goods sold by sample, the goods must correspond to the sample in quality In contracts for the sale of goods and supply of services certain basic provisions are implied by statute in order to provide protection to purchasers. The main provisions derive from the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982. The Sale of Goods Act protects purchasers where the seller does not have the right to sell the goods. Where the goods are sold by description there is an implied term that the goods will correspond to that description. Businesses must ensure that the goods they sell are of satisfactory quality and fit for their purpose. Where the goods are sold by sample there is an implied term that the goods will correspond to the sample in quality. Where the goods are supplied along with a service then the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 applies. This implies the identical provisions as the Sale of Goods Act in relation to the goods supplied. In addition there are implied terms that the service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, that the service will be carried out within a reasonable time and where no price is agreed a reasonable price will be paid. In this case the

Political parties in the United States Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Political parties in the United States - Essay Example People are either in favor of the Democrats or the Republicans. Recently though, new movements are arising from the grassroots which seek to distance themselves from the influence of either parties but nevertheless carry some of intrinsic liberal or conservative political standpoints of the Democratic and Republican parties respectively. This may be attributed to the fact that satisfaction with how both parties have run the past and present administrations is very low. Whether this phenomenon would lead to the rise of new political parties that would present themselves as viable alternatives to the dominant ones as well as the minor groups in existence is a possibility that remains to be seen. One way of determining this possibility is by taking a look at the history of the establishment of the Democratic and the Republican parties. A study on their respective evolution as the countryââ¬â¢s top political forces, which did not only shape opinions but national and international poli cies as well, would provide ideas on the future of American politics as well. At a glance the contradictions of the two parties may seem to have stalled the country in its efforts to advance further or to maintain its status as a world power. However, this brief study would also prove that is the said contradictions that served as factors in the changes that the country continues to experience. A review on the US Constitution would tell that that the nationââ¬â¢s Founding Fathers did not wish to see the countryââ¬â¢s political system to be partisan in any way. Such an attitude against partisan politics however may well be considered as a natural reaction to the conditions of the times. Apparently, the nation was still young and unstable. While it had yet to strengthen itself internally, it was already facing threats from external forces. There were other countries in Europe that were interested in certain parts of its territory and there was also the danger of the British tryi ng to regain what pride and power it lost as a result of the American independence. The Federalist Papers No. 9 and 10 pointed out that factionalism and the emergence of opposing political groups would not be advantageous to the country. In Federalist Paper No. 10, however, James Madison explicitly wrote about what he perceived as the great disadvantage of a democracy. His assertion is that ââ¬Å"a large republic is superior to a democracy because a large republic will have more qualified people whose talent will be pooled together, and it will be more conspicuous, thus reducing the chance for corruption.â⬠(Scaros 41) Obviously, even as there were still no political parties at the time because these were basically discouraged, the ideas that would differentiate the basic principles of the Democrats and the Republicans had begun to emerge. In the last decade of the 1700s, the first two political parties emerged. In the study of political history, this was a period that was cal led the First Party System. The Federalist Part and the Democratic-Republican Party main line of contention was about the role of the national and federal government. The former strongly believed in a strong central government, emphasizing that this would result in administrative and fiscal efficiency. The latter, on the other hand considers a
